What Soldiers care about....
1. The enemy insurgents, because they have to know where they are at all times.
2. Their buddies to the right and left of them because they have to depend on them to do their job so everyone comes home.
3. Doc...'cause he's the one that's gonna patch your sorry butt up and evac you should something go wrong.
4. The mess sergeant, cause he's the one that feeds you.
5. The supply sergeant, without whom there can be no clean, dry socks, or mosquito netting / repellant, or the occasional hot beer or cold coffee.
6. Their girlfriend or wife (or some girl they THINK is their girlfriend).
7. Mom, Dad and the family back home.
...and coming in dead last is everything else...and after that is politics
